On April
27, 28 at Sukhishvili University was held
an inner championship among faculties. The owner of the first
prize became the team of the second year students of faculty of
Business Administration and Management.
At the University Diagnostic Centre “Sofia Mkurnali” was held
free medical examinations by doctors of Tbilisi leading clinics.
The action was supported by Sandra Rulovs' Fund. there were
examined about 80 patients.
On April 15 university self-government, folk dance
company "SU"
under the guidance of Zura Batmanashvili and Dato
Terterashvili held a charitable concert for forced
settlers from Samachablo Region in village
Shavshvebi.
On
April 13, 2009 was held student scientific conference
"Oratorical Art and Thinking" participated by students of Law
Faculty.
Sukhishvili
University signed a memorandum of collaboration with
non-governing organization "United Youth of Georgia" unifying
initiative groups of student self-governments of 14 Georgian
universities (GIPA,
GAU, Alma-Mater,
TEUSU, SDASU etc.)
On March 8-11 Sukhishvily University representatives _
rector Valeri Sukhishvili and Ekaterine Sukhishvili were in
Oxford, UK at Summit of Leaders. They were awarded with
"Socrates International Award" in sphere of education.

University is invited to the United Kingdom, in Oxford at
“Socrates International award ceremony” and is nominated for
“European Quality Award” which is going to be held on the 9th

On December 26, 2008 at Sukhishvili University was held a
new-year carnival.
On December 23, 2008 Sukhishvili University students and
medical personnel of University Diagnostic Centre “Sofia
Mkurnali” visited Surami children’s home. They brought
food, sweets and primary usage things. Doctors of
Diagnostic Centre held medical examinations for the
children.
On December 22, 2009
at Sukhishvili University was held a conference named
“Congenital Chromosomal Mutations” by the participation of first
year students of Public Healthcare faculty.
. On December 21,
2008 by support of European Union National Population Fund at
Reproductive Health Diagnostic Centre “Sofia Mkurnali”
held free medical examination.
On December 22, 2008
at 14 o’clock at Sukhishvili University Avtandil Silagadze, The
academician of Georgia Academy of Sciences, held an open lecture
about Actual questions of Economics.
On
December 5-9, 2008 was held a championship in football among
universities. The team of Sukhishvili University “SU” also took
part in the foresaid championship and deserved honorary title of
the most attractive team.
On
November 29, The First International Conference about Modern
Scientific Questions was held at Sukhishvili University. It was
dedicated To Petre Naskidashvili’s 80 years of Anniversary from
born, and 60 years anniversary from scientific and pedagogical
activities. The conference was attended by Georgian and foreign
scientists. Nino Chubinidze, The director of National Centre of
Accreditation of Georgia, was also among the honourable guests.
The Professors Edward R. Raupp, Petre Naskidashvili and Vakhtang
Peradze were Elected as honourable professors of Sukhishvili
University. After the opening the conference, the sectional work
began. On sectional work were presented and discussed actual
questions of modern science.
On
November 29, was held an exhibition of works made by Sukhishvili
University students.
